New Photo Album

Pastor Paul is located in Ouanamente at the border Haiti/D.R. He has a small school with 25 students and a church. We have bought a small mill for him to do peanut butter and sell it. The mill is also for dry good to press corn to feed poultry. That gives him a little income for him and family of six kids. The church is about 75 believers and they all work selling at the border.

The conference was great and Pastor Wesner Guerrier did a great job arranging the conf with his team of workers. Pastor Gerrie Armaly,Pastor Claude Page, Evangelist Gille Breton, all from Essex,ON Antioch Christian Ministries have been pourring into Haiti for the last 8 years. We have had a great success with many Pastors being totally transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. A spirit of worship and a revival fire are on them so they may conquer Haiti for Christ.

Richard and the children at the centre celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ. The children received gifts from their sponsors. Also a tree near the centre was uprooted by the tropical storm Olga and needed to be cut down.

Update on the Construction of the New School

Vacation Bible School, August 2005
This summer's Vacation Bible School was assisted by a group from Walkerton and Mississauga, Ontario.  From August 16-19, 2005, the team helped present the good news to the children in the Barrio of Bello Costero, the Assemblies of God church in Puerto Plata, and at a local Haitian village.   Hundreds of children were ministered to through a variety of songs, skits and Bible lessons.

New School in Haiti In September 2005, with the assistance of a number of Dominican brothers, Pastor Paul Michelin converted half of his house in the village of Ouanamente, Haiti, into a Christian School.  Pastor Paul, a long-time friend of the ministry, is now teacher to 35 young Haitian students, ranging in age from 4 to 13 years.  Through the hard work of Jose, a Dominican Christian, and the generous donation of a Canadian donor, we were able to deliver handmade desks for the students.  This primitive, one-room school house is sure to be a great blessing in the community.  Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere.  The country faces enormous challenges, including complete economic collapse, a rapid spread of AIDS, outbreaks of violence, as well as deforestation and a raping of the land.  Yet in the midst of this poverty and chaos, these children will now have the chance to not only learn about the love of the Lord, but also gain the literacy skills to read His Word for themselves. Please pray for Pastor Paul in his new endeavour and for Luz a Las Naciones as we have committed to support him.  See the Child Sponsorship section if you are able to help.
